Hello Mr. Wright, I just want to say how humbled and grateful we are for your generosity. Your financial support over the years enabled my son Liam to compete at a level of sailing we never thought possible. “Thank you” doesn’t quite express our gratitude but hopefully you understand how much this means to our family. Liam will be sure to take many pictures and hopefully bring home a trophy or two from the summer circuit!!! Dear Mrs. Wright, I’m excited to share a summary of my sailing season and a few updates from this year as well! This past year, I had the opportunity to compete in some of the most competitive C420 regattas on the East Coast. The 2025 season is already off to a strong start:
I’ve attached a few photos from the events, hopefully they give you a sense of how much this sport means to me. Thank you again for all your continued support , it’s made these experiences possible. Warm regards, Liam Marcell Good morning. I wanted to say thank you for your generous donation to help me sail this summer and wanted to share the pictures you requested. i made gold fleet at both nationals and North Americans. At CJ Buckley my team didn't have a great regatta we ended in 14th, but we beat two of the best teams at the regatta.
Sailing Foundation of Barnegat Bay,
Thank you for giving me an amazing opportunity this summer. I had a great time traveling around the New England area and it would not have been possible without your financial aid. We competed in the C420 Nationals in Hyannis, MA, CJ Buckley Team Race in Greenwich CT, and C420 Nationals in Sayville, NY. We performed well, placing 33rd at Nationals, 14th at CJ Buckley, and 27th at Nationals. I am so glad I was given the possibility to travel and compete at the high level, continuing my sailing journey. I have made some visits to colleges this Fall hoping to gain a spot on a top collegiate sailing team. I attached a few pictures of Jules and I sailing this summer. Thank you again, Maryn Demand For Summer 2025, SFBB assisted Shore Acres Yacht Club with the purchase of a new engine for their junior sailing program. Check out these awesome kids!
Dear Mrs. Wright and Sailing Foundation of Barnegat Bay,
Thank you so very much for your generous grant contribution towards my expenses for the 2025 Team Race C420 Midwinter Championships (1/16-1/20) and for the 2025 C420 Midwinter Championships (2/13-2/17). Your support means so much to me and my family. We had a great 3 days of racing at the 2025 C420 Team Race Midwinter Championship in Jensen Beach, FL (1/16-1/20). We were very happy with our results as we made it to the final 4 championship bracket and ultimately finished in 4th place. This was after 3 days of round robin race rotations in heavy wind. Please see attached pictures of my team and some racing pictures. Thank you again for your support and encouragement. Sincerely, Sage Sakowicz Hi Jamie and SFBB,
Thank you so much for the support for our new opti rack! And I will be happy to spread the word about the fundraiser and see what our club can do to support it. Thanks again! Rob Brautigan 2025 NBYC Vice Commodore Hello Ms. Wright and SFBB,

Thank you for supporting and providing money so that I can sail this winter at the orange bowl regatta. It goes a long way, especially since I am planning on sailing more regattas in the coming months and summer, which costs lots of money. The trip was successful and was a great time. It couldn’t have been done without the support of the foundation. Thank you, Jules Buczkowski This is Cole Buczkowski from Metedeconk River Yacht Club reaching out to thank you for your generosity in helping fund my regatta fees at the Orange Bowl Regatta. Without your generosity this awesome experience and opportunity to sail against the best youth competition in the country would not be possible. I can’t put into words how blessed I am to have the Sailing Foundation to help fund my sailing career beyond the bay.
